In this Course we will cover

Acting Skills

Throughout each term, every unit is designed around exercising, strengthening and enhancing the actor's voice, body and mind to use in performance. These are tailored specifically to your values, strengths and culture that is discussed prior to the commencement of your training.

Using various training techniques from the multiple actors methods and high impact teaching approaches, we aid you to explore and experiment with your creative abilities and anchor these lessons to real world experiences and opportunities to elevate your world view.

Our training is designed to make you autonomous and independent.

Collaboration Skills

In term 2 and 3, we delve into the units that require extensive collaboration with the whole ensemble. Students will be required to work from published and devised scripts that will be showcased at the conclusion of term 4.

Brainstorming, improvising, scripting, devising and producing their own written work is one of the most challenging units the students will embark on, that builds resilience, independence and self-confidence in each of your students.

These skills are important to enhance communication, respect for diversity and trust along with so many transferrable skills into multiple industries. It's these units that foster the essential skills that will provide the success of our graduates to increase their employability and opportunities for the future.

Intrapersonal and Interpersonal skills

The Academy is unlike your usual actor training course. Prior to commencement, students are offered to complete several assessments to identify their intrapersonal (focusing on the self) and interpersonal (focusing on connecting with others) skills that are used as the foundations for their Independent Learning Plan (ILP).

This enables our mentors to tailor the program specific to areas of growth in order to exercise each student's strengths and values using independent and collaborative performance processes. Our program builds autonomy and encourages student's agency to reframe, refocus, and reignite the enjoyment of learning whilst providing you with direction for your future that is fuelled by your own core values.

Lead Educator Kane Felsinger

With over ten years of experience in teaching drama, theatre and television to students around the globe in secondary and tertiary education, along with his industry experience in some of Australia's most famous television series, Kane has been building this program since 2015 for those creatively minded students who need a bit more then what they receive from the Australian Drama curriculum. In this program we utilise your skills and intelligence to enhance your creative talents, whilst training you to understand how your values, strengths and identity enhance your understanding of self and more.

Kane has the following qualifications:

- Bachelor of Contemporary Art (Film/TV)

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology/Business)

- Diploma of Education (secondary)

- Positive Education Coach

- Masters of Counseling
