
The Blocked Student
"Find the flow again."
The Blocked Student a program ideal for mentees who are feeling overwhelmed, disengaged, bored. anxious or combative.
By identifying and assessing the self, community and global perspectives of the mentee and how they aren’t being fulfilled in each perspective. Once we identify the blocks we can then implement a community project which we call the Capstone Project. The Capstone Project is tailored to each Mentees core values allowing them to leverage their strengths to drive meaningful behaviours and actions that will aid in achieving a successful community related project.

​This program is great for ages 14+, and ideal for Year 9 and 10 students to aid with career interests and post secondary school pathway ideas.

Program schedule:

Week 1: Self-discovery Week 5: Brainstorming and Building Capstone
Week 2: Identifying blocks and implementing strategies Week 6-10: (Mentee reports on progress weekly )
Week 3: Exploring Perspectives (Telescope Lens Model) Week 11: Capstone Reflection
Week 4: Strategies for Wellbeing (MSNBA)

By the end of this course mentees will be able to:

Monitor wellbeing and objectives to align with their (VSBA)

Utilise strategies to manage blocks and unhelpful behaviours

Management wellbeing systems using Movement, Service, Nature, Belonging and Art (MSNBA)

Manage and monitor the self, community and global perspectives in relation to wellbeing and self-fulfillment

Work towards objectives related to interests for future plans (study, career, personal projects)

Identify and access positive relationships and supports to aid in wellbeing
